Artist statement-

I have always had a keen interest in natural and architectural geometric structures therefore my work is a combination of these two very contrasting styles. The material I most often use is metal, I enjoy turning this hard material in to interesting forms and shapes, as I like to push the material and see how far I can go with altering the shape from its original flat state. Architecture has recently influenced my work a lot, as I have explored working with various scales pieces from cutlery to larger scale vessels. My interest in natural forms will also always influence my work, even whilst I discover new styles as this is something I believe gives my work a unique and interesting aesthetic. I hope to continue to focus on my areas of interest to create functional objects with contemporary twists as this makes people want to handle my work and this is what I plan to continue to achieve.
